I carry out general servicing, repairs, modifications and upgrades on all makes of electric guitars and basses, everything from replacing a broken string to resurrecting a basket case! I also work on acoustics as long as it doesn't involve the carpentry side of it!
I have been working on guitars for a number of years, my skills are highly regarded and have been praised by others in the field of electric guitar repair and modification. It is thanks to their encouragement that I am making those skills available to you for anything from the simplest task like setting up your guitar to your requirements to a full custom rebuild to the specifications of your favourite artist's guitar. Do you want a Stratocaster like Ritchie Blackmore, a Les Paul like Jimmy Page or a Flying V just like Michael Schenker? These are all projects I have completed recently. My artist's guitar rebuilds are not just cosmetic. I will endevour to use the same parts as in the original but in some cases it has to be the closest modern equivalent. I do the same modifications as were done to the original and where ever possible the wiring set up will be the same. In short, they will be as close to the original as it is possible to get.
I also manufacture specialist parts and I am well versed in anti-noise measures such as shielding and the use of audio transformers having done battle with the extremely frustrating problem myself.
All work is done by myself, I prefer it that way, then I know the quality and all guitars I work on are given the same care and attention as my own. The only assistance I get is from the small, hairy, one pictured here. Keeps me company while I am working until I plug an amp in then he's off!
