This is only intended as a very rough guide to the cost of the parts/services I offer.
Basically the prices listed below are the maximum I will charge for a job, they are not set in stone and only intended to give you a rough idea. Multiple jobs will be discounted rather than simply adding the prices. Once we have a clear understanding of the work to be carried out, parts required etc I will be able to give you a more accurate estimate.
Please note one thing I insist on, once I have checked out what work is needed I require the cost of parts up front, call it a deposit if you like. I have been stung before; bought in parts only to be left with them because somebody has changed their mind! Alternatively I have no objection to you sourcing and supplying the parts yourself.
Accepted payments are cash on collection, Paypal or cheque but if paying by cheque goods will not be released until cheque clears.
Shipping
Some costs include P&P within the UK. However, I always feel that anything involving work on the complete guitar it is better to meet up and hand it over. That we both know what work is to be done and there's little chance of any misunderstandings, also eliminates the possibility of damage inherent in shipping a guitar. I am willing to travel (within reason!) to pick and deliver the guitar up as long as there is a railway station near you.

Set Up Hardtail Guitar - £30.00 not including strings
Set Up Tremolo Fitted Guitar - £40.00 not including stringa
Electrical Component Replacement - £20.00 not including cost of component
Rewiring - £20.00 Includes wire & consumables but not components, i.e. pots, switches etc. Endless wiring options available!
Pickup Replacement - £20.00 Not including cost of pickup. Replacement of both humbuckers, 3 x singles or any combination is £40.00. Fitting a Humbucker in place of a single coil £40.00 due to the additional work (routing etc) required.
Full Refret - £120.00 Partial re-fret from £65.00
Stone & Reprofile Frets - £55.00
Neck Scallop - £120.00 You supply the neck to be scalloped with clear instructions as to what type of scallop you want, graduated Blackmore style or uniform Malmsteen style (see my General Work page for the difference) and whether it is full or partial neck. With a maple neck, you can either leave the bare wood or relacquer it. If it is to be relacquered there is an additional £10.00 making the total cost £130.00.
Guitar Cavity Shielding - £45.00 Using "radar" paint
Guitar Cavity Shielding Combined With Inbuilt Audio Transformer - £70.00 Same as used in Les Paul Studio.
Stainless Steel Tremolo Arm - £40.00 Please note this is for Fender Stratocasters only. I will require the tremolo from your guitar to modify it to accept the larger diameter arm. Cost includes return P&P within the UK.
Custom Pickguard - £40.00 Not including cost of pickguard blank.
Full Artists Replica Custom Rebuild - I will give you an estimate after we have decided what needs to be done to upgrade your guitar to the level of the artist's one.
Most Small Jobs - Fitting strap buttons etc. Let me know what you want done and I'll give you an estimate.
